Students look at the pictures and circle the ones whose names begin with an R-blend.

Page 8 – Sort the Blend

Page 9 – Finish the Word

Students read a collection of words and circle the words that begin with an R-blend.

Page 14 – Read, Circle, and Draw
Students read each sentence, circle the R-blend word, and draw a picture to show what the sentence means—bringing phonics practice together with reading comprehension.
