Help your first graders strengthen reading comprehension, fluency, and sight word recognition with Set 6 of the popular Room 1 Friends series!
This collection includes Days 26–30 and follows Mrs. Reed, Ben, Mia, Sam, Ava, Leo, and Pip the Hamster through engaging classroom adventures that young readers can relate to and enjoy.
Each story is written at a first-grade reading level and includes three multiple-choice comprehension questions that help students practice understanding key details, sequencing events, and recalling information from the text. High-frequency sight words are naturally embedded throughout the passages, providing meaningful reading practice in context. Included on each worksheet is a list of sight words from Fry's First 100 High Frequency Word List, and directions for students to find and circle the words in the story. Also included is a handwriting exercise for students to practice tracing and writing one of the sight words.
